October Glory® Red Maple

Size

October Glory Red Maple is a medium-sized female deciduous tree with an oval crown and reliably outstanding fall color.  Large glossy dark green palmate leaves grow on red stems hold their green well into fall before earning its bright orange to deep, reddish-purple fall color - even in warmer climates.  October Glory holds its foliage into fall longer than with most cultivars.  Attractive red flowers bloom in spring before the foliage emerges and gives way to red-tinged samaras.  Grows best in rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.
