Zelkova serrata 'Green Vase'

Japanese Zelkova

Size

Green Vase Japanese Zelkova is a fast-growing upward branching deciduous tree with a vase-shaped crown and park that exfoliates when mature exposing orange-brown inner bark.  The lightly toothed foliage is larger and paler green with shades of orange-brown in fall. Insignificant green flowers in spring give way to non-showy fruits in fall. Best color with full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.  Drought tolerant once established and tolerates urban pollution.  Highly resistant to Dutch Elm disease.
