Saucer Jane Magnolia is a slow-growing compact deciduous tree with large cup shaped pinkish-purple flowers with white centers that bloom in late spring before the foliage emerges.  The lightly fragrant flowers may erratically rebloom in summer. The leathery dark green obviate leaves emerge copper-red tones and earn yellow or bronze hues in fall.  Best color in full sun and moist, slightly-acidic, well-drained soil.
